July 22nd, 2015 – Going in for surgery

Hi Everyone!

This morning we went on the last walk with 4 legs. I took Mollie into the vet at 8am. It is around noon and Miss Mollie’s vet just told me the chest x-rays look clear and no mets on the other bone x-rays. Although she does have some hip arthritis. The vet said “since she is young and thin and so functional and athletic now, it is reasonable to proceed with the surgery”. I pray all goes well. We will update you when surgery is over!

P.S. Yesterday we had a great day!! We went on a walk in the morning with Mollie’s brother Bear. Then in the afternoon, I took Miss Mollie to Petsmart (just because) and to Sonic. Even though Mollie didn’t get any ice cream, she did get plenty of yummy dog treats to fill up her tummy! And of course, I took lots of pics with my baby girl:)

What a great day uesterday! Sure, the “last” on four, but the first of many on three with no pain! It realy, really is unbelievable how quickly they adjust!

Look at that adorable face! You are doing great! Today is always tough but with your positive attitude and knowing what you’re doing is the BEST thing you can do for your Mollie will keep your spirits lifted.

For me, knowing I was taking the pain away and knowing that Mac would actually be on LESS pain meds post-op than he was before due to the pain of the OSA made me feel a whole lot better.

UPdate us when you get some answers! Stay strong!

Keeping you and Miss Mollie Moo in my thoughts and prayers today; it’s scary and stressful, but also the beginning of a new journey for you both. Like Sally said, you’re getting rid of the pain and the evil cancer. It breaks my heart that others have to go down this road, but stay strong and pawsitive. Your girl will soon be home with you, with lots of loving to come.
