We have a set date for amputation. My front right leg will be amputated on Wednesday July 22nd. My mom is getting the house prepared for me. My mom will be able to be with me through my recovery. I am happy she will stay home with me. They say the recovery takes 2 weeks. Hope and Pray all goes well:)

Yo Mollie! That’s so great your mom can stay home with you during your recovery and that she is getting everything ready. Sounds like she has everything under control 🙂
So Wednesday is the big day? You are gonna lose that pesky painful leg and never look back girlfriend! Vets always say the recovery takes two weeks but it can sometimes take longer, depending on the dog, and definitely full recovery takes a month or more because you have to adjust to life on three. But you should definitely be through the worst of it after two weeks. Be prepared for some ups and downs in those first two weeks too. Some dogs come out of surgery flying (well, yeah, they are on those pawesome pain killers!)and then crash after a couple of days or a week. Thats usually OK and perfectly normal. So don’t worry, we have your back, OK?
Me and my pack will be sending you (and your mom) all our Lucky 13* tripawd strength on Wednesday and wishes for a flawless surgery and speedy recovery!
